open_questions:
- Which TRIRIGA/MREF accounts are reachable through Maximo Unlocked, Rich Barber, Andrew Carrie, or IBM/community introductions?
- Which parts of the TRIRIGA-to-MREF problem require independent advisory versus IBM/product-specialist delivery?
- Is the first sellable offer a migration briefing, footprint review, roadmap workshop, or retained advisor package?
needs_validation:
- Validate the TRIRIGA/MREF migration wave with named IBM technical authorities and at least two affected end-user organisations.
- Keep facilities/real-estate claims separate from heavy industrial EAM claims until buyer interviews prove overlap.
resolution_log:
- 2026-07-24: Created after Stephanie Neves MAS Unlocked 2 intake surfaced TRIRIGA-to-MREF as a material opportunity candidate.
- 2026-07-24: Latest recalibration memo strengthened the TRIRIGA/MREF wedge and clarified lease/facilities compliance as a separate validation path.

The latest Max Connect corpus recalibration says TRIRIGA Operations & Maintenance / Work Tasks users may be forced toward Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF), creating a facilities-led migration and advisory wedge for Max Connect.
The strategic shift is that real estate and facilities should not be treated as automatically out of scope. Large public-sector, university, facilities, and corporate-real-estate environments can share the same Maximo/MAS adoption problems as plant-heavy EAM: footprint under-use, operational process fit, migration uncertainty, and the need to bridge finance/compliance requirements with asset operations.
This atom is amber rather than green because the evidence is strong customer/community proof from a newly ingested interview, but Max Connect still needs buyer validation and technical authority confirmation before making the MREF wave a headline pack claim.
Open questions
- Which accounts are genuinely in motion from TRIRIGA to MREF?
- Can Max Connect credibly help as independent advisor without becoming an IBM implementation substitute?
- Which event/demo/technical track would prove demand at Maximo Unlocked 2?
