Ant clarified that Hadrian, Rich, Andrew and Ant are going to be equal partners in Max Connect. The discovery should not frame Max Connect as Ant's idea or Ant's naivety being validated by others. The immediate job is to establish what the shared business idea is and what the value proposition is.
Hadrian is the first interview because he has some level of understanding of Maximo, the value proposition and asset management. He is also a change consultant and is strong at mapping complex situations.
Ant also described Hadrian as similar to Ant in how he thinks, but more of a business analyst. Ant knows Hadrian personally, they are friends, and they have worked together before this project. That changes the interview posture: it should not be a cold stakeholder interview, credibility screen, or an exercise in challenging Ant's personal idea. It should be a first equal-partner discovery interview that uses shared context, prior trust and known working style to define the business idea, value proposition, asset-management problem structure, and what each partner can validate.
That suggests Hadrian may be especially useful for mapping the business-change logic, buyer/problem structure, process implications and proposition shape rather than only validating technical Maximo detail.
Open questions
- Which asset-management situations has Hadrian previously mapped, and what patterns repeat here?
- Which relationships and knowledge are Hadrian's versus Rich/Andrew-led?
- What does Hadrian believe the shared Max Connect idea and value proposition should become?
